Technology and Teacher Training: Speaking Practice with AI

 Introduction

In this activity, I practiced my speaking skills by preparing and recording a speech about the role of technology in teacher training. After recording my speech, I used Meta AI to receive feedback on my fluency, grammar, pronunciation, and organization. The activity helped me identify mistakes in my speaking and understand how to communicate my ideas more clearly and confidently in English.

Reflection

This speaking activity helped me become more aware of the mistakes I make when speaking English. Meta AI provided detailed feedback about my grammar, pronunciation, fluency, and sentence structure. One of the most useful things I learned was the importance of subject-verb agreement and using more natural expressions such as “play a role” instead of incorrect combinations.

I also noticed that I sometimes speak in very long sentences without pausing, which can affect clarity and pronunciation. The feedback helped me understand how pauses and intonation can improve communication and make ideas easier to follow.

Another important aspect was pronunciation. Meta AI highlighted several academic words that are commonly difficult for English learners, which helped me pay more attention to stress and pronunciation patterns.

Overall, this activity improved my confidence when speaking English and showed me that AI can be a valuable tool for identifying mistakes and improving oral communication skills.
