Using AI Feedback to Improve My Academic Writing Skills

 

Introduction:

In this activity, I worked on improving an academic essay about technology in education. First, I wrote a B2-level essay and then used an AI tool to receive feedback on grammar, vocabulary, and coherence. After analyzing the suggestions, I produced an improved version of my text. This process helped me identify my mistakes and understand how to make my writing more formal, clear, and appropriate for an international English exam.

Reflection 

After receiving feedback from Copilot, I noticed several mistakes and weaknesses in my writing that I had not identified by myself. For example, the AI suggested using more academic vocabulary and improving the coherence between ideas by adding better linking expressions. It also corrected some grammar and vocabulary choices to make the essay sound more formal and natural.

One important thing I learned is that small changes in vocabulary can significantly improve the quality of an essay. Expressions such as “become more engaged” and “minimize risks during training” sound more professional and appropriate for an international English exam.

Additionally, Copilot helped me understand the importance of maintaining a formal tone and varying sentence structures. Before receiving feedback, I believed my essay was already complete, but I realized there were many ways to improve clarity and organization.

Overall, this activity helped me reflect on my writing process and identify areas that still need improvement. Using AI as a support tool allowed me to better understand my mistakes and improve the overall quality of my work.

  INTRODUCTION In this activity, my classmate and I adapted a traditional beginner-level English unit into a Task-Based Learning (TBL) lesson plan. Task-Based Approach Reading Activity

  INTRODUCTION In this activity, I completed an oral reading task about the Task-Based Approach using a digital platform. The activity consisted of reading a text aloud while the system recorded my voice and evaluated my pronunciation, fluency, speed, and accuracy. We had a limited amount of time to complete the reading, so it was necessary to maintain a good reading pace and clear pronunciation.
